Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 8th January, 2019.

I, SEÁN KYNE, Minister of State at the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 7 (2) of the Gaeltacht Act 2012 (No. 34 of 2012) (as adapted by the Arts, Heritage, Regional, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 2017 ( S.I. No. 350 of 2017 )) and the Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) Order 2018 ( S.I. No. 449 of 2018 ), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Gaeltacht Act 2012 (Designation of Gaeltacht Language Planning Areas) (No. 8) Order 2018.

2. The areas specified in the Schedule are designated to be a Gaeltacht Language Planning Area for the purposes of section 7 (2) of the Gaeltacht Act 2012 (No. 34 of 2012).

SCHEDULE

Language Planning Area: Ráth Chairn agus Baile Ghib

(1) That part of the electoral division area of Cill Bhríde in County Meath which consists of the following townlands: Cill Bhríde and Tulach Chonóg.

(2) That part of the electoral division area of Domhnach Phádraig in County Meath which consists of the following townlands: Baile Ghib, Diméin Bhaile Ghib, Ráth an Tancardaigh, Cluain an Ghaill and Domhnach Phádraig.

(3) That part of the electoral division area of Ráth Mhór in County Meath which consists of the following townlands: Ráth Chairn, Driseog, Doire Longáin and Tlachta.

(4) That part of the electoral division area of Tailtean in County Meath which consists of the following townlands: Baile Órthaí and Tailtin.

(5) That part of the electoral division area of Baile Átha Buí in County Meath which consists of the following townland: Baile Mhistéil.
