I, SEÁN KYNE, Minister of State at the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 7 (2) of the Gaeltacht Act 2012 (No. 34 of 2012) (as adapted by the Arts, Heritage, Regional, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 2017 ( S.I. No. 350 of 2017 )) and the Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) Order 2018 ( S.I. No. 449 of 2018 ), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Gaeltacht Act 2012 (Designation of Gaeltacht Language Planning Areas) (No. 9) Order 2018.

2. The areas specified in the Schedule are designated to be a Gaeltacht Language Planning Area for the purposes of section 7 (2) of the Gaeltacht Act 2012 (No. 34 of 2012).

Schedule

Language Planning Area: Conamara Láir, Co. na Gaillimhe

(1) The following electoral division areas: Camas, Cill Chuimín (Uachtar Ard), An Turlach, Abhainn Ghabhla, An Cnoc Buí agus Scainimh..

(2) That part of the electoral division area of Maíros in County Galway which consists of the following townlands: Dún Riachái, An Gharmain, Leitheanach Theas, Lios Uachtair and An Tamhnach Mhór.

(3) That part of the electoral division area of Cloch na Rón in County Galway which consists of the following townlands: Inis Ní, Iorras Beag Thiar and Iorras Beag Thoir.
