I PASCHAL DONOHOE, Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Section 181 (2)(a) of the Planning and Development Act, 2000 (as amended), and, being satisfied that the carrying out of the development on my behalf by the Office of Public Works as described in the Schedule to this Order is required by reason of an emergency, being the exceptional circumstances arising as a result of the impending withdrawal and/or the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union on 31 October 2019, hereby order as follows: | ||
1. This order may be cited as the Planning and Development Act 2000, Section 181(2)(a) Order No. 3, 2019. | ||
2. The provisions of the Planning and Development Act 2000 , and the provisions of Part 9 of the Planning and Development Regulations, 2001 shall not apply to the development being carried out on my behalf by the Office of Public Works as described in the Schedule to this Order. | ||

Description: The development envisaged by this order is for the refurbishment of existing industrial buildings with demolitions to facilitate the construction of ancillary custom, agriculture and health inspection structures, staff welfare facilities, staff parking, access and egress modifications including ancillary site works, signage and all other necessary works, all within the existing boundary of lands of the Dublin Airport Authority within Dublin Airport, for the provision of facilities that are required by reason of the impending withdrawal and/or the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union on 31st October 2019 in order to provide for the required infrastructure for customs, sanitary and phytosanitary and health checks and controls. |
