Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in | ||

The Commission for Railway Regulation, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 4 (5) of the Railway Safety Act 2005 (No. 31 of 2005), hereby makes the following regulations: | ||
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Railway Safety Act 2005 (Section 4(5)) (Specified Infrastructure, Monorail) Regulations 2021. | ||
2. Monorail infrastructure is specified to be a railway for the purposes of the Railway Safety Act 2005 . | ||
3. In these Regulations ‘monorail’ means a single rail serving as a track for rolling stock. | ||

The Commission for Railway Regulation, being of the opinion it is appropriate to do so in the interest of the safety of persons, made these Regulations under section 4(5) to specify that monorail infrastructure is a railway for the purposes of the Railway Safety Act 2005 . |
