“Iris Oifigiúil” of 14th December, 2021.

I, HELEN MCENTEE, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 1 (3) of the Criminal Evidence Act 1992 (No. 12 of 1992) (as adapted by the Justice and Equality (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 2020 ( S.I. No. 452 of 2020 )), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Criminal Evidence Act 1992 (Section 13) (Commencement) Order 2021.

2. The 15th day of December 2021 is fixed as the day on which section 13 of the Criminal Evidence Act 1992 (No. 12 of 1992) shall come into operation for –

(a) the District Court sitting in District No. 4,

(b) the District Court sitting in District No. 16,

(c) the District Court sitting in District No. 17,

(d) the District Court sitting in District No. 20, and

(e) the District Court sitting in District No. 21.
