I, HELEN MCENTEE, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 1 (2) of the Judicial Council Act 2019 (No. 33 of 2019) (as adapted by the Justice and Equality (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 2020 ( S.I. No. 452 of 2020 )), hereby order as follows: | ||
1. This Order may be cited as the Judicial Council Act 2019 (Commencement) Order 2022. | ||
2. The 3rd day of October 2022 is appointed as the day on which the Judicial Council Act 2019 (No. 33 of 2019), in so far as it is not already in operation, shall come into operation. | ||

This Order brings into operation those provisions of the Judicial Council Act 2019 concerning judicial conduct and ethics which are not already in operation. The provisions come into operation on 3 October 2022. |
