I, DARRAGH O’BRIEN, Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage, in exercise of powers conferred on me by section 20 (4)(a) of the Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2009 (No. 22 of 2009) (as adapted by the Housing, Planning and Local Government (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 2020 (S. I. No. 408 of 2020)), hereby make the following regulations: | ||
1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Social Housing Assessment (Amendment) (No. 3) Regulations 2022. | ||
(2) These Regulations come into operation on 1 January 2023. | ||
2. The Social Housing Assessment Regulations 2011 (S. I. No. 84 of 2011) (as amended by the Social Housing Assessment (Amendment) Regulations (S. I. No. 136 of 2011)) are amended— | ||
(a) in Regulation 19(1), by substituting “€40,000” for “€35,000”, | ||
(b) in Regulation 20(1), by substituting “€35,000” for “€30,000”, and | ||
(c) in Regulation 21(1), by substituting “€30,000” for “€25,000”. | ||

These Regulations amend Regulations 19(1), 20(1) and 21(1) of the Social Housing Assessment Regulations 2011 ( S.I. No. 84 of 2011 ) to increase by €5,000 each the 3 bands of maximum income limits for eligibility for social housing support across the State. |
