S.I. No. 652/2022 - Avian Influenza (Temporary Measures) (No. 2) (Amendment) Regulations 2022


Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 16th December, 2022.

The Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 36 of the Animal Health and Welfare Act 2013 (No. 15 of 2013) and for the purpose of giving full effect to Commission Regulation (EU) 2020/ 687 of 17 December 20191 in so far as that Regulation applies to avian influenza, makes the following regulations:

1. These are the Avian Influenza (Temporary Measures) (No. 2) (Amendment) Regulations 2022 and come into operation on the 13 December 2022.

2. The Avian Influenza (Temporary Measures) (No. 2) Regulations 2022 are amended by the deletion of the matter in Schedule 2.

These Regulations provide for precautionary measures to be taken in surveillance and protection zones established in County Monaghan to facilitate the control and eradication of avian influenza.
