Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in | ||
“Iris Oifigiúil” of 24th February, 2023. | ||
I, CATHERINE MARTIN, Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 1 (3) of the Online Safety and Media Regulation Act 2022 (No. 41 of 2022), hereby order as follows: | ||
1. This Order may be cited as the Online Safety and Media Regulation Act 2022 (Commencement) Order 2023. | ||
2. The 15th day of March 2023 is appointed as the day on which the following provisions of the Online Safety and Media Regulation Act 2022 (No. 41 of 2022) shall come into operation: | ||
(a) Parts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8, | ||
(b) Part 9 (other than sections 36 and 40), | ||
(c) Parts 10, 11, and 12 (other than section 47 in so far as Part 8B of the Broadcasting Act 2009 as inserted by section 47 relates to a failure to comply with section 128B(1) or (2), or any rules made under section 128C, of that Act), | ||
(d) sections 50 and 52(a), | ||
(e) Parts 14, 15, and 16, and | ||
(f) Part 17 (other than section 74). | ||
