Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 22nd December, 2023.

I, STEPHEN DONNELLY, Minister for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 1 (3) of the Public Health (Tobacco Products and Nicotine Inhaling Products) Act 2023 (No. 35 of 2023), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Public Health (Tobacco Products and Nicotine Inhaling Products) Act 2023 (Commencement) Order 2023.

2. The 22^nd day of December 2023 is appointed as the day on which the following provisions of the Public Health (Tobacco Products and Nicotine Inhaling Products) Act 2023 (No. 35 of 2023) come into operation:

(a) sections 1 to 8;

(b) section 9(1)(c);

(c) section 10;

(d) section 28;

(e) Part 5 (other than section 39);

(f) Part 6 (other than section 45);

(g) Part 7.
