Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in | ||

I, SIMON COVENEY, Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by subsections (4) and (5) of section 1 of the Work Life Balance and Miscellaneous Provisions Act 2023 (No. 8 of 2023) and, in relation to Part 4 and section 40 of that Act, after consultation with the Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth, hereby order as follows: | ||
1. This Order may be cited as the Work Life Balance and Miscellaneous Provisions Act 2023 (Commencement) Order 2024. | ||
2. The 6th day of March 2024 is appointed as the day on which Parts 3 and 4 and section 40 of the Work Life Balance and Miscellaneous Provisions Act 2023 (No. 8 of 2023) shall come into operation. | ||

EXPLANATORY NOTE | ||
(This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation.) | ||
This Order provides that the 6th day of March 2024 is appointed as the day on which Part 3 (Requests for remote working arrangements), Part 4 (Code of practice) and section 40 (Amendment of Workplace Relations Act 2015) of the Work Life Balance and Miscellaneous Provisions Act 2023 shall come into operation. |
