Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in | ||

I, MICHAEL MCGRATH, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act 1972 (No. 27 of 1972) and for the purpose of giving further effect to Directive (EU) 2015/2366 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 25 November 20151 , hereby make the following regulations: | ||
1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the European Union (Payment Services) (Amendment) Regulations 2024. | ||
(2) These Regulations shall come into operation on the 4th day of March 2024. | ||
2. Regulation 86 of the European Union (Payment Services) Regulations 2018 ( S.I. No. 6 of 2018 ) is amended, in paragraph (6), by the substitution of the following subparagraph for subparagraph (b): | ||
“(b) those payment services to which Regulation (EU) No. 260/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 14 March 20122 applies.”. | ||
