Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 17th May, 2024.

I, DARRAGH O’BRIEN, Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 1 (3) of the Local Government (Mayor of Limerick) and Miscellaneous Provisions Act 2024 (No. 7 of 2024), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Local Government (Mayor of Limerick) and Miscellaneous Provisions Act 2024 (Commencement) (No. 2) Order 2024.

2. The 16th day of May 2024 is appointed as the day on which the following provisions of the Local Government (Mayor of Limerick) and Miscellaneous Provisions Act 2024 (No. 7 of 2024) shall come into operation:

(a) section 4;

(b) Part 2 in so far as it is not already in operation;

(c) Part 3;

(d) Part 4, other than sections 33 and 34;

(e) Part 6;

(f) Part 7;

(g) Schedule 1.
