Sentencing for breach of probation order imposed on 12th July, 1991, on the following charges:

Possession of a controlled drug, contrary to Article 6(1) of the Misuse of Drugs (Jersey) Law 1978. (Count 3). |
1 count of: |
Driving a motor vehicle whilst disqualified, contrary to Article 9(4) of the Road Traffic (Jersey) Law 1956. (Count 4). |
1 count of: |
Using a motor vehicle uninsured against third party risks, contrary to Article 2(1) of the Motor Traffic (Third Party Insurance)(Jersey) Law 1948. (Count 5). |
17 counts of: |
Obtaining goods by false pretences. (Counts 6-22). |
4 counts of: |
Obtaining money by false pretences. (Counts 23-27). |
2 counts of: |
Obtaining services by false pretences. (Counts 28 and 29). |
Age: 35.
Conclusions:
Probation Order to be discharged.
Seeks a total fine of £725.
£25 for each of the 29 offences, or 2 months' imprisonment in default.

JUDGMENT
THE commissioner:
1. You are fined £725 and you are to surrender your passport today. You are not to leave the Island until such time as that fine is paid. The fine includes the amount that has already been provided as bail. The default on the fine is 2 months' imprisonment.
