DECISION
The claimant is entitled to receive a redundancy payment and notice pay of £5,998.95 as detailed below.

The respondent did not appear.
1. The name of the respondent is amended to Raymond Crawford, t/a Crawford Trim to reflect the name on the employment contract.
2. The claimant was employed as a Coach Trimmer with the respondent from 1 July 1995 until the date of termination 31 December 2011, a period of 16 years.
3. The claimant is aged 33 years, and his entitlement under the Employment Rights (Northern Ireland) Order 1996 is calculated at 13½ weeks gross pay to reflect service where he was aged under 21 years of age.
Entitlement is therefore: (A) £257.70 x 13.5 = £3,478.95
4. The claimant is also entitled to notice pay. The statutory limit to notice pay is 12 weeks net pay.
Entitlement is: (B) £210.00 x 12 = £2,520.00
Total entitlement is: (A) + (B) above = £5,998.95
5. This is a relevant decision for the purposes of the Industrial Tribunals (Interest) Order (Northern Ireland) 1990.
