AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH STATION ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 1931 - SECT 2

Short title, construction and citation.

2. This Act may be cited as the Agricultural Research Station Act (Northern
Ireland), 1931, and shall be construed as one with the Agricultural Research
Station Act (Northern Ireland), 1927, and that Act and this Act may be cited
together as the Agricultural Research Station Acts (Northern Ireland), 1927
and 1931.

The Schedule sets out the terms of the Agreement dated 2nd December 1930
between the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Agriculture and the
Agricultural Research Institute of Northern Ireland whereby the Institute
surrendered to the Ministry of Finance an area of some 9 acres forming part of
the Great Park, Hillsborough, County Down which it was entitled to use and
occupy under the terms of an Agreement dated 28th October 1926 between the
same parties (see 1927 c.1 (NI)). The Ministry of Finance agreed to permit the
Institute to use and occupy another area of some 15 acres of the Great Park
and also agreed that the Ministry might from time to time after consultation
with the Ministry of Agriculture permit the Institute to use and occupy a
further limited area of the Great Park.
