BIRTHS AND DEATHS REGISTRATION (NORTHERN IRELAND) ORDER 1976 - SECT 24 



24.(1) A registrar shall not register the death of a person after the
expiration of one year from the date of the death otherwise than with the
written authority of the Registrar General.

(2) Where the Registrar General gives an authority under paragraph (1), that
authority shall be noted in the entry relating to the death in question.

(3) Paragraphs (1) and (2) shall not apply to registration of a death
following an inquest.
