COUNTY BOUNDARIES (IRELAND) ACT 1872 COUNTY BOUNDARIES (IRELAND) ACT 1872 - LONG TITLE An Act to amend the Law relating to the defining of Boundaries of Counties and other Divisions and Denominations of Land in Ireland.{1} [6th August 1872] Preamble rep. by SLR 1893 (No.2) COUNTY BOUNDARIES (IRELAND) ACT 1872 - SECT 1 Short title. 1. This Act may be cited as "The County Boundaries (Ireland) Act, 1872." COUNTY BOUNDARIES (IRELAND) ACT 1872 - SECT 2 Orders made to be taken as valid. 2. Every order made under the Acts mentioned in the schedule to this Act annexed, or any of them, or under this Act, shall be conclusive evidence of every fact and circumstance necessary to authorise the making thereof, and shall be deemed and taken to all intents and purposes whatsoever to have been made in pursuance of and in conformity with the provisions of the Acts under which the same purport to be made. COUNTY BOUNDARIES (IRELAND) ACT 1872 - SECT 3 Copy of order to be good evidence. 3. A copy of any such order, purporting to be certified as a true copy by the clerk of Her Majesty's Privy Council in Ireland, or a printed copy of the [Belfast Gazette] purporting to be printed and published by the Queen's authority, and to contain the publication of any such order, shall for all purposes be conclusive evidence of said order. COUNTY BOUNDARIES (IRELAND) ACT 1872 - SECT 4 Copy of map to be evidence of original. 4. A copy of any map referred to in any such order, or of any part of such map purporting to be certified as a true copy by the clerk of the said Council, shall for all purposes be conclusive evidence of the original map, or the part thereof of which the same shall purport to be a copy.
