An Act to amend an Act of the Parliament of Ireland in the fortieth Year of
His present Majesty's Reign for granting the Sum of Five hundred thousand
Pounds for promoting Inland Navigation, and for other Purposes therein
mentioned; and to enlarge the Powers vested in the Directors of all Works
relating to Inland Navigation in Ireland.{1} [20th June 1816] 1800 c.51(I)
WHEREAS by the Inland Navigation Act (Ireland) 1800 it is amongst other things
enacted, that it should and might be lawful for the lord lieutenant from time
to time to nominate and appoint five persons to be directors of all works
relating to inland navigation in Ireland ....[
