24.(1) The Minister may appoint a central advisory committee for any profession or professions engaged in the provision of services under this Order or for a particular service provided under this Order, and may, at any time after consultation with that committee, dissolve that committee. (2) A central advisory committee shall advise the Council, or if in a particular case the Ministry so directs, the Ministry, on the provision of any service with which that committee is concerned. (3) The Council shall consult with any such central advisory committee on such occasions and to such extent as may be determined by the Ministry, and may ask the committee to undertake, on behalf of the Council, such investigation as the Council thinks fit. (4) A central advisory committee shall consist of a chairman appointed by the Minister and such other members as the Minister may consider necessary, appointed after consultation with such interests as appear to the Minister to be concerned; and the Minister may at any time appoint an additional member or fill a vacancy created by the death or resignation of a member. (5) A central advisory committee may appoint sub-committees, whether jointly with another central advisory committee or otherwise, and may appoint to such sub-committees persons who are not members of the central advisory committee or committees concerned. (6) A central advisory committee may regulate its own quorum and procedure.
