HOUSE OF COMMONS OFFICES ACT 1856 - SECT 1
Clerks assistant of the House of Commons.
1. ... the clerk assistant and second clerk assistant of the House
of Commons respectively shall be appointed by Her Majesty, by
warrant under her Royal Sign Manual; and every clerk assistant and
second clerk assistant shall be removable only by Her Majesty, upon
an address of the House of Commons to Her Majesty for that
purpose.
