LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1888

THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1888 - LONG TITLE

An Act to amend the laws relating to Local Government in England
and Wales, and for other purposes connected therewith.
[13th August 1888]
The Act as applied to Ireland was repealed by the Local Government
Act (NI) 1972 (c.9) with the exception of s.87(1)(2) and (5). These
provisions as applied are contained in Article 32 of the Schedule
to the Local Government (Application of Enactments) Order 1898 (SRO
1898/1120) which is printed in this Edition after the Local
Government (I) Act 1898 (c.37)
