PUBLIC HEALTH AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT (ADMINISTRATIVE PROVISIONS) ACT
(NORTHERN IRELAND) 1946 - LONG TITLE

An Act to establish health authorities and welfare authorities for
counties and county boroughs, to provide for the performance by them
of certain functions relating to public health and social welfare,
for the appointment of county and county borough medical officers
and of other officers, for the abolition of boards of guardians,
and otherwise to amend the law relating to public health and poor
relief; to amend the law relating to local government; and for
purposes connected with the matters aforesaid.

Power to make loans to certain officers.

25A. [A district council] may make loans to such of [its] officers
and subject to such conditions as the Ministry may with the consent
of the Ministry of Finance determine, for the purpose of
facilitating such officers in the purchase of motor cars or motor
cycles essential to the efficient carrying out of their official
duties.]
