POOR RELIEF (IRELAND) ACT 1843 - SECT 17
Guardians may pay expences of prosecuting offenders.

17. It shall be lawful for the guardians of any union to pay any
expence reasonably incurred in following, apprehending, or prosecuting
any person guilty of any offence against the provisions of the said
first-recited Act, or of any Act or Acts to amend the same.

POOR RELIEF (IRELAND) ACT 1843 - SECT 28
Recited Acts and this Act to be construed as one Act.

28. The said recited Acts and this Act shall be construed as one
Act, except so far as the provisions of any one of such Acts may
repeal or alter the provisions of any previous Act.
