[12th May 1870] Preamble rep. by SLR 1893 (No.2) SURVEY ACT 1870 - SECT 1 Short title. 1. This Act may be cited as "The Survey Act, 1870." SURVEY ACT 1870 - SECT 2 Construction. 2. This Act shall be construed as one, so far as it relates to Ireland, with the Survey (Ireland) Acts, ... and the Survey (Ireland) Acts, together with this Act, may be cited together as "The Survey (Ireland) Acts, 1825 to 1870," ... SURVEY ACT 1870 - SECT 3 Transfer of powers to Department of Finance. 3. All the powers, authorities, and things which under the Survey (Ireland) Acts, ... are, or, but for the transfer to Her Majesty's Principal Secretary of State for the War Department would be, vested in or capable of being exercised and done by the Master General and Board of Ordnance shall be vested in and capable of being exercised and done by the [Department of Finance] and not by the said Secretary of State, and those Acts shall be construed as if the [Department of Finance] were substituted throughout for the Master General and Board of Ordnance. ...
