TRAMWAYS AND PUBLIC COMPANIES (IRELAND) ACT 1883 - SECT 25 

Interpretation.

25. In this Act

"The Tramways (Ireland) Acts" means the Tramways (Ireland) Act, 1860, the
Tramways (Ireland) Amendment Act, 1861, the
Tramways (Ireland) Amendment Act, 1871, ... and the
Tramways (Ireland) Amendment Act, 1881.

In the construction of this Act and the Tramways (Ireland) Acts the word
"tramway" shall be construed to include for the purposes of this Act a light
railway.
