The Welfare Reform and Pensions (1999 Order) (Commencement No. 7 and Transitional Provisions) Order (Northern Ireland) 2001

  Made 15th March 2001 

The Department for Social Development, in exercise of the powers conferred by Articles 1(2) and 73(4)(a) of the Welfare Reform and Pensions (Northern Ireland) Order 1999[1], and now vested in it[2], and of all other powers enabling it in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and interpretation
     1.  - (1) This Order may be cited as the Welfare Reform and Pensions (1999 Order) (Commencement No. 7 and Transitional Provisions) Order (Northern Ireland) 2001.

    (2) In this Order any reference to a numbered Article or Schedule is to the Article of, or the Schedule to, the Welfare Reform and Pensions (Northern Ireland) Order 1999 bearing that number.

Amendment of the Welfare Reform and Pensions (1999 Order) (Commencement No. 3) Order
     2. In Part V of the Schedule to the Welfare Reform and Pensions (1999 Order) (Commencement No. 3) Order (Northern Ireland) 2000[3], the entry in respect of Article 5 (duty of employers to facilitate access to stakeholder pension schemes) shall be omitted.

Amendment of the Welfare Reform and Pensions (1999 Order) (Commencement No. 6 and Transitional and Savings Provisions) Order
     3. In Article 3(2) of the Welfare Reform and Pensions (1999 Order) (Commencement No. 6 and Transitional and Savings Provisions) Order (Northern Ireland) 2000[4] (transitional provision in relation to incapacity benefit), for "sections 30A to 30E", where it first occurs, there shall be substituted "section 30A, 40 or 41".
