The Ground Rents (2001 Act) (Commencement No. 1) Order (Northern Ireland) 2002

  Made 23rd July 2002 

The Department of Finance and Personnel in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 32(1) of the Ground Rents Act (Northern Ireland) 2001[1] and of every other power enabling it in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:

Citation
     1. This Order may be cited as the Ground Rents (2001 Act) (Commencement No. 1) Order (Northern Ireland) 2002.

Appointed Day
     2. The provisions of the Ground Rents Act (Northern Ireland) 2001, except section 2, shall come into operation on 29th July 2002.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order.)


This Order provides for the coming into operation of the Ground Rents Act (Northern Ireland) 2001 with the exception of section 2 (compulsory redemption of a ground rent).
