(a) for Article 9 substitute the following—

" TARIFFS AND TICKETS
Requirement to pay appropriate tariff
     9. The driver of a vehicle using a parking place during charging hours shall pay the appropriate tariff set out in Schedule 2 in accordance with the scale of charges specified in column 6 of Schedule 1 in relation to that parking place.";

(b) delete Article 10;

(c) for Article 11 (method of payment) substitute the following Article—

     " 11. —(1) Save as provided for in Article 14, in a parking place where charges are collected by means of a pay and display machine, payment shall be made on parking the vehicle, by inserting into the machine a coin or combination of coins of appropriate denominations in payment of the appropriate tariff set out in Schedule 2 in accordance with the scale of charges specified in column 6 of Schedule 1 in relation to that parking place for which the machine will issue a ticket.

    (2) The driver may during the period for which a valid ticket has been acquired in accordance with paragraph (1) extend that period by purchasing and displaying a ticket for a further period.";

(d) in Article 12 (display of ticket) for the words "Article 11(1)(a) or (2)" substitute the words "Article 11";

(e) in Article 13(1) and (2) for the words "any proceedings for an offence under the Road Traffic Regulation (Northern Ireland) Order 1997" substitute "any appeal under Articles 13, 16 or 28 of the Traffic Management (Northern Ireland) Order 2005"; and

(f) in Article 14(1) (season ticket) for the words "Article 9(a)" substitute the words "Article 9".

    (2) Delete Part IV.

    (3) For Schedule 2 substitute the Schedule set out in the Schedule to this Order.
