LANDLORD AND TENANT
The Private Tenancies (2006 Order) (Commencement) Order (Northern Ireland) 2006
The Department for Social Development makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Article 1(3) of the Private Tenancies (Northern Ireland) Order 2006[1]:
Citation and interpretation
1.
—(1) This Order may be cited as the Private Tenancies (2006 Order) (Commencement) Order (Northern Ireland) 2006.
(2) In this Order "the 2006 Order" means the Private Tenancies (Northern Ireland) Order 2006.
Appointed days
2.
Article 41 of, and Schedule 1 to, the 2006 Order shall come into operation on 6th November 2006.
3.
The following provisions of the 2006 Order namely—
(a) Articles 3 to 40;
(b) Articles 42 to 75; and
(c) Schedules 2 to 5
shall come into operation on 1st April 2007.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order brings into operation on 6th November 2006 Article 41 of and Schedule 1 to the Private Tenancies (Northern Ireland) Order 2006 ("the Order").
It brings into operation on 1st April 2007 all those other provisions of the Order which are not already in operation.
