WATER AND SEWERAGE

Water and Sewerage Services (Transfer Date) Order (Northern Ireland) 2007

  Made 7th March 2007 
  Coming into operation 1st April 2007 

The Department for Regional Development, in exercise of the powers conferred by Article 270(2) of the Water and Sewerage Services (Northern Ireland) Order 2006[1], makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement
     1. This Order may be cited as the Water and Sewerage Services (Transfer Date) Order (Northern Ireland) 2007 and shall come into operation on 1st April 2007.

Transfer date
     2. 1st April 2007 is the date specified as the transfer date for the purposes of Article 270(2) of the Water and Sewerage Services (Northern Ireland) Order 2006.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)


This Order specifies 1st April 2007 as the date on which all assets and liabilities specified in the transfer scheme for transfer to the successor company become, by virtue of Article 270(2) of the Water and Sewerage Services (Northern Ireland) Order 2006, assets and liabilities of the nominated successor company.
