The First Minister and deputy First Minister, acting jointly, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 (2) of the Department of Justice Act (Northern Ireland) 2010(1), make the following Order:
1.–(1) This Order may be cited as the Department of Justice (2010 Act) (Commencement) Order (Northern Ireland) 2010.
(2) In this Order "the Act" means the Department of Justice Act (Northern Ireland) 2010.
2.–(1) The day appointed for the coming into operation of sections 1(1) to (4) and 2 of the Act is 10th April 2010.
(2) The day appointed for the coming into operation of section 1(5) of, and the Schedule to, the Act is 12th April 2010.

This Order provides for the coming into operation of the following provisions of the Department of Justice Act (Northern Ireland) 2010–
sections 1(1) to (4) and 2 on 10th April 2010; and
section 1(5) and the Schedule on 12th April 2010.
