The Department for Regional Development makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Article 4(4) of the Traffic Management (Northern Ireland) Order 2005(1):
1. These Regulations may be cited as The Penalty Charges (Prescribed Amounts) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2012 and shall come into operation on 4th July 2012.
2. In regulation 2 of The Penalty Charges (Prescribed Amounts) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2006 (2) (penalty charges) for "£60" substitute "£90.00".

These Regulations amend The Penalty Charges (Prescribed Amounts) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2006 by increasing the penalty charges for road traffic offences subject to civil enforcement from £60.00 to £90.00.
S.I. 2005/1964 (N.I. 14); see Article 2(2) for the definition of "prescribed"
