1. These Regulations may be cited as the Mental Health (Private Hospitals) (Fees) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2012 and shall come into operation on 31st March 2013.
2. The fee to accompany any application for registration of premises as a private hospital under Article 91 of the Mental Health (Northern Ireland) Order 1986 is nil.

(This note is not part of the Regulations)
An application for the registration of premises as a private hospital shall be made in writing to the Department of Health, Social Services and Public Safety under Article 91 of the Mental Health (Northern Ireland) Order 1986, and shall be accompanied by a fee of such amount as may be prescribed. These Regulations prescribe the fee payable to the Department as nil.
