The Disabled Persons (Badges for Motor Vehicles) (Amendment No. 2) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2016

Coming into operation-

31st March 2016

The Department for Regional Development(1) makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 14 of the Chronically Sick and Disabled Persons (Northern Ireland) Act 1978(2) and now vested in it(3).

Citation and commencement

1.  These Regulations may be cited as The Disabled Persons (Badges for Motor Vehicles) (Amendment No. 2) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2016 and shall come into operation on 31st March 2016.

Amendment

2.  The Disabled Persons (Badge for Motor Vehicles) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1993(4) is amended by the substitution of the words "1st April 2017" for the words "1st April 2016" where they appear in Regulation 3 and in the Schedule to those Regulations.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations amend the Disabled Persons (Badges for Motor Vehicles) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1993 by changing the date when a new form of badge comes into effect from 1st April 2016 to 1st April 2017.
