1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Female Genital Mutilation Protection Order (Relevant Third Party) Order (Northern Ireland) 2021.
(2) This Order comes into operation on 1st December 2021.
2. In this Order “ HSC trust” means a Health and Social Care trust established under Article 10 of the Health and Personal Social Services (Northern Ireland) Order 1991( 3).
3. A HSC trust is specified as a relevant third party for the purposes of paragraph 19(2)(b) of Schedule 2 to the Female Genital Mutilation Act 2003.

This Order specifies a Health and Social Care trust as a relevant third party under paragraph 19(2)(b) of Schedule 2 to the Female Genital Mutilation Act 2003 (c.31).
A relevant third party can apply to the court for a Female Genital Mutilation protection order without the leave of the court.
Seesection 1(4) of the Departments Act (Northern Ireland) 2016 (c. 5 (N.I.)).
2003 c. 31. Section 5A of, and schedule 2 to, the Female Genital Mutilation Act were inserted by Section 73(2) of the Serious Crime Act 2015 (c.9).
S.I. 1991/194 (N.I. 1)as amended by section 32 of, and paragraph 1(1)(c) of Schedule 6 to the Health and Social Care (Reform) Act (Northern Ireland) 2009 (c. 1).
