EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order amends the Scotland Act 1998 (Transitory and Transitional Provisions) (Appropriations) Order 1999 (S.I. 1999/674) ("the principal Order"). The principal Order appropriated sums out of sums forming part of the Scottish Consolidated Fund for the current financial year ending on 31st March 2000 for the purposes of meeting expenditure in that year in connection with functions for which expenditure is, by virtue of the Scotland Act 1998 and provision made under it, payable out of that Fund during that year. It also appropriated in aid certain sums for that year in connection with such purposes. The amounts that were appropriated or appropriated in aid and the purposes for which they were so appropriated or appropriated in aid were set out in the Schedule to the principal Order.
This Order substitutes a new Schedule to the principal Order which sets out revised amounts for the sums appropriated or appropriated in aid, and revised purposes, for the current financial year. It also makes a consequential amendment to article 2(1) of the principal Order.
