The Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred upon them by section 8(5) of the Breeding and Sale of Dogs (Welfare) Act 1999[1] and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Regulations: Citation, commencement and extent 1. - (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Sale of Dogs (Identification Tag) (Scotland) Regulations 1999 and shall come into force on 30th December 1999. (2) These Regulations extend to Scotland only. Provisions 2. In addition to the information required under section 8(5) of the Breeding and Sale of Dogs (Welfare) Act 1999 to be displayed on an identifying tag or badge, that identifying tag or badge shall also clearly display the following other information:-
(b) the identifying number, if any, allocated to the dog by the licensed breeding establishment at which it was born.
