NATIONAL HEALTH SERVICE
The National Health Service Reform (Scotland) Act 2004 (Commencement No. 1) Order 2004
The Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 12(1) and (2) of the National Health Service Reform (Scotland) Act 2004[1] and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Order:
Citation
1.
This Order may be cited as the National Health Service Reform (Scotland) Act 2004 (Commencement No. 1) Order 2004.
Appointed day
2.
The day appointed for the coming into force of the following provisions of the National Health Service Reform (Scotland) Act 2004 is 30th July 2004:-
(a) section 11(1), so far as relating to schedule 1, paragraph 2; and
(b) schedule 1, paragraph 2.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order brings into force on 30th July 2004 paragraph 2 of Schedule 1 to the National Health Service Reform (Scotland) Act 2004 (asp 7) ("the Act") and section 11(1) of that Act so far as it relates to that paragraph.
Paragraph 2 of Schedule 1 to the Act amends the National Health Service (Private Finance Act) 1997 (c.56) so as to replace references to National Health Service Trusts with references to Health Boards, Special Health Boards and the Common Services Agency.
