HOUSING

The Scottish Homes (Dissolution) Order 2005

  Made 30th November 2005 
  Laid before the Scottish Parliament 30th November 2005 
  Coming into force 31st December 2005 

The Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 87(1) of the Housing (Scotland) Act 2001[1] and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Order:

Citation and commencement
     1. This Order may be cited as the Scottish Homes (Dissolution) Order 2005 and shall come into force on 31st December 2005.

Interpretation
     2. "Scottish Homes" means the body corporate established by section 1 of the Housing (Scotland) 1989 Act[2].

Dissolution of Scottish Homes
     3. The date specified for the dissolution of Scottish Homes is 31st December 2005.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)


This Order specifies the date for the dissolution of Scottish Homes (which was established as a body corporate by section 1 of the Housing (Scotland) Act 1988).

All functions of Scottish Homes were transferred to the Scottish Ministers by section 84 of the Housing (Scotland) Act 2001. All property and liabilities of Scottish Homes were transferred to the Scottish Ministers by–
