The Scottish Ministers make the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1 and 8(1) of the Animal Health Act 1981(1) and all other powers enabling them to do so.
1. This Order may be cited as the Pigs (Records, Identification and Movement) (Scotland) Amendment Order 2011 and comes into force on 4th November 2011.
2. For article 3 (notifications etc.) of the Pigs (Records, Identification and Movement) (Scotland) Order 2011(2) substitute-
3. Any notice, walking licence, notification, authorisation or approval under this Order must be in writing, may be made subject to conditions and may be amended, suspended or revoked by notice in writing at any time.".

This Order amends the Pigs (Records, Identification and Movement) (Scotland) Order 2011.
Article 3 of that Order made provision to the effect that a notice could be made otherwise than in writing. This was a defect. Article 2 of this Order substitutes a new article 3 that omits that provision.
1981 c.22; section 8 was amended by paragraph 1 of schedule 2 to the Animal Health and Welfare (Scotland) Act 2006 (asp 11). The functions conferred upon "the Ministers" (as defined in section 86) insofar as within devolved competence, were transferred to the Scottish Ministers by virtue of section 53 of the Scotland Act 1998 (c.46).
