The Scottish Ministers make the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 25(2) of the Tied Pubs (Scotland) Act 2021( 1).
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Tied Pubs (Scotland) Act 2021 (Commencement No. 1) Regulations 2024 and come into force on 30 April 2024.
2. The day appointed for the coming into force of the following provisions of the Tied Pubs (Scotland) Act 2021 is 30 April 2024—
(a) section 2 (Scottish Pubs Code Adjudicator),
(b) section 13 (investigation policy), and
(c) schedule 2 (Scottish Pubs Code Adjudicator).

These Regulations commence sections 2 and 13 and schedule 2 of the Tied Pubs (Scotland) Act 2021 (“ the Act”) on 30 April 2024.
The Bill for the Act received Royal Assent on 5 May 2021. Section 3 (duty to act consistently with regulatory principles), section 4 (Scottish Ministers’ duty to seek to make code and appoint adjudicator), section 5 (review of the code and adjudicator’s performance), part 3 (interpretation) and part 4 (final provisions) came into force on the following day.
