    APPEARANCES

For the Appellant NO APPEARANCE BY OR REPRESENTATION ON BEHALF OF THE APPELLANT

MR JUSTICE MORISON (PRESIDENT): We received at the Employment Appeal Tribunal yesterday at about 5.00 p.m. a facsimile from June Tweedie in these terms:

"Further to my conversation with the Listing Office earlier today, I would like to confirm that I intend to withdraw my appeal listed for tomorrow.
I apologise for the late notice of this withdrawal.
    Thank you for your help."

We have no difficulty in making an order that upon withdrawal the appeal is dismissed, and make the order. But we would like to point out that late withdrawals of appeals causes upset to the system and is unfair on the other users of this Court, and it is to be regretted that we were given such late notice of withdrawal.
