University of Bradford (Decision Notice) [2009] UKICO FS50201558 (30 March 2009)

Summary: The complainant made a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the -Act-) to the University of Bradford (the -University-) for information held by the University on extremist activity over the last two years. The University provided some information to the complainant and confirmed that the information it had provided to him was all of the information it held relevant to the scope of the request. The Commissioner considers that the University complied with section 1(1)(a) and (b) of the Act as it confirmed what information it held by the time of the internal review and provided that information to the complainant. However as the University did not comply with section 1(1)(a) and (b) within 20 working days of the date of the request the Commissioner considers that section 10(1) was breached.
Section of Act/EIR & Finding: FOI 1 - Complaint Not upheld, FOI 10 - Complaint Upheld
