Summary: The complainant asked Lincolnshire Police (the -�public authority-�) to provide information relating to European Arrest Warrants. The public authority refused to disclose this using the exemptions in section 12(1) (cost of compliance exceeds the appropriate limit), further stating that any information it might be able to provide under the cost limit was likely to be exempt by virtue of section 23(1) (information supplied by, or relating to, bodies dealing with security matters) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the -�Act-�). The Commissioner-�s decision is that the exemption in section 23 is engaged. He has therefore not considered the applicability of the other exemption. The complaint is not upheld. The public authority-�s handling of the request resulted in breaches of certain procedural requirements of the Act as identified in this Notice.
