Summary: The complainant requested copies of communications between Dr Liam Fox, Secretary of Defence (as he then was) and Damian Green, Minister of State at the Home Office in relation to the possible extradition of a British national to South Africa. The Commissioner-™s decision is that the public authority was entitled to withhold the information within the scope of the request on the basis of the exemption at section 35(1)(b) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the Act). The Commissioner does not require the public authority to take any steps.
