Summary: The complainant requested information about groups of representatives that were referred to as having been consulted in a handbook issued by the Department for Work and Pensions (the -˜DWP-™ or -˜Department-™). Where the complainant asked whether the groups had approved a named DWP report, the public authority did not accept the complainant-™s submission as a valid request for information. The Commissioner finds that the request is valid for the purposes of the FOIA. The Commissioner requires no remedial steps to be taken in this case.
