Summary: The complainant asked the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) to provide him with the identities of three police officers who had attended a particular court hearing. The MPS refused to provide this information relying on the exemptions contained at section 40 (personal data) and section 38 (health and safety) of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). The Commissioner has concluded that the withheld information is exempt from disclosure on the basis of section 40 of FOIA.
