Ministry of Justice (Decision Notice) [2012] UKICO FS50456702 (29 November 2012)

Summary: The complainant requested information from three courts about the Applied Language Solutions contract to provide interpreters. The Ministry of Justice (-˜MOJ-™) refused to provide the requested information on the basis that it had estimated that the combined cost of compliance with these three sets of requests would exceed the appropriate limit under section 12 of the FOIA. The Information Commissioner has investigated and has found that the MOJ correctly relied on section 12(1) in refusing to provide the requested information. He does not require the MOJ to take any further steps.
Section of Act/EIR & Finding: FOI 12 - Complaint Not upheld
