Summary: The complainant requested information from Walberswick Parish Council (the council) relating to correspondence about a meeting that had taken place in October 2011. The council refused to respond to the request because it considered that it was vexatious under section 14(1) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the FOIA) and that the complainant was acting in concert with other individuals. The Commissioner-™s decision is that the council correctly refused to respond to the requests using section 14(1) of the FOIA. The Commissioner does not require any steps to be taken. This decision notice is currently under appeal to the Information Tribunal.
